When you think of a BFF (Best Friend Forever), you probably don’t think of a re-usable water/non-carbonated-beverage bottle. I am in love with mine, though, and it’s become that accessory that I don’t leave the house without. It has drawn compliments from strangers who want to know where they can get one, too! What is it? It’s a Thermos. (Mental image: Barbie soup container in my first-grade lunch box.) And this one’s gorgeous, holds 24oz (compared to the usual 12 oz bottled-water), makes my iced coffee and plain old ice water taste amazing – even 12 hours later, and keeps hot cocoa or honey tea hot – even 12 hours later! The slender shape fits perfectly in stroller and car cup holders – a must! I was worried about the white lid and mouth staining from my coffee and lipstick, but it wipes clean beautifully. The versatility of this insulated bottle could surely demand a high price tag, but it’s under $10. I bought mine at Target. LOVE IT!!

Each of my kids has their own BFF beverage bottle, too. (Just try giving my daughter her water in another bottle – I dare you! Warning – cover your ears!) Theirs are also made by Thermos, are also 24oz, but are see-through colored plastic – BPA Free, of course. Both children can carry them easily, wherever they may go, with no worries of leaks. Even my 3-year old can operate hers to open and lock closed. These bottles are also slender and fit most cup-holders. LOVE THESE, TOO!!

Only Drawback: Makes the outing basket a bit heavy when all of our bottles are thrown in together – like bringing along a gallon of milk!

Bonus: We sure save a lot of green ($money!) when we don’t need to buy drinks at our destinations (average $2+ per person), not to mention the calorie savings (average 300cal+ per person as servings are always larger than 8oz) and health benefits of keeping hydrated with water throughout the day.
